Painting during a weekend worship service. Based roughly on a National Geographic photograph of rock climber Alex Honnold. In the actual photo, he is over water. But take away the water, and what we have is a depiction of true faith, clinging to the Rock who is Jesus. On the other hand, I could have just as easily left the water in the picture, representing the Holy Spirit who is our Helper.
